Awarded Scholarships

If you were awarded a scholarship by UNC Charlotte:
  • Check the NinerScholars Portal for status updates. Your scholarship offer will be displayed in a new category at the bottom of your scholarship dashboard, named Scholarships with Decisions Available.
  • Your fall scholarship will be posted to the Financial Aid screen in Banner Self Service 10 days prior to the start of class. If the scholarship award was split between the fall and spring semesters, the spring portion of the award will be posted 10 days prior to the spring semester.
If you receive a scholarship from an outside party:
  • Submit all scholarship checks you receive to the Cashiers Office (located in the Reese building) so the funds can be deposited into your university student account.
  • You must endorse any check that is made payable to you and The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
    • Include the following with each check:
      • student’s name
      • student’s university student ID, home address, and date of birth
  • Your scholarship money will post to your student account 10 days prior to the first day of classes.
