Student Application Portal

For Newly admitted and Continuing Undergraduate & Graduate students:

PLEASE NOTE: Some application deadlines have passed for scholarships that will be awarded for the 2026-27 academic year. Students logging into the NinerScholars Portal at this time may see limited or no scholarship opportunities available. If you don’t see any available scholarship opportunities when logging into the NinerScholars Portal at this time, please remember that students are eligible to apply for scholarships each year they are enrolled at UNC Charlotte. The NinerScholars Portal will reopen in late Oct. 2026 for students to apply for scholarships that will be awarded for the 2027-28 academic year. Scholarships for the spring 2027 semester were awarded last year.

The NinerScholars Portal is now open. 

  • Please note that you must be accepted to Charlotte or be a current student to apply for scholarships. 
  • If you were recently accepted, refer to your admissions next steps list for information on how to set up your NinerNET account. Within 48 hours of setting up your NinerNET account you should be able to log into NinerScholars. 
  • Current students and students accepted for fall 2026 can now long in and apply for scholarships. Scholarships for spring 2026 were awarded last year.

Applying for Future Scholarships

  • Scholarships are awarded annually at UNC Charlotte, so we encourage you to log into the NinerScholars Portal each year in late October.
  • As you progress academically at Charlotte, you may be eligible for scholarships in future years that you weren’t eligible for this year. 
  • Scholarship materials you submitted this cycle and completed applications do not carry over from one year to the next. To be considered for future scholarships:
    • Log in to the NinerScholars Portal when it reopens in late October to refresh your profile. 
    • You must meet all of the criteria to be eligible to apply for a scholarship.
    • Carefully review the criteria for each scholarship you’re matched with. Once you confirm the scholarships you’re eligible to apply for, you may complete applications for as many as you’d like.
    • Complete all required materials for each scholarship by the application deadline.
